The Emory University Athletics Department held its annual awards banquet on April 30, where it announced the recipients of its major awards for the 2018-19 school year. The following is a list of the winners with a brief description of the award.
ALIBERTI AWARD – Presented to the student-athlete who consistently made a positive impact on their team, elevating it level to new heights.
Winner – Ashley Oldshue (Women’s Basketball)
BRIDGES AWARD – Recognizes the most outstanding all-around career of a senior student-athlete.
Winner – Fiona Muir (Women’s Swimming and Diving)
McCORD AWARD – Honors the most outstanding season performance by a senior student-athlete
Winner – Mady Arles (Volleyball)
McDONOUGH AWARD – Celebrates the top play or athletics moment of the year
Winner – Volleyball team winning the 2018 NCAA D-III Championship
PARTIN AWARD – Presented to the individual who embodies the spirit of an Emory Eagle and shows profound loyalty to Emory Athletics through their engagement and visibility.
Winner – Gebereal Baitey (Men’s Basketball)
EMORY SCHOLAR-ATHLETE AWARD -- Presented to the senior student-athlete who best exemplifies the ideals of a student-athlete through his/her academic and athletic success
Recipient – NJ Kim (Baseball)
