Emory University placed 109 student-athletes on the University Athletic Association Spring All-Academic Team which was released Friday morning by the league office. 714 student-athletes in total from the eight association schools were recognized on the All-Academic team.
To be named to the UAA Spring All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete at least one full year of college study and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30.
The 3.30 GPA is the same academic standard used as a qualifying threshold by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the nomination of Academic All-America candidates in all sports.
The 109 Eagles recognized were spread out over eight sports that compete traditionally in the spring with men’s outdoor track & field leading the way with 28 selections.
