Men's Basketball:

After closing out a miniature two-game road trip with a 2-0 record that sees the team sitting atop the conference, the Emory University men's basketball team is back at home this weekend for two more high octane matchups against conference foes. The No. 16 ranked Eagles (13-3, 4-1 UAA) will face off against the Chicago Maroons (8-8, 1-4 UAA) on Friday evening at 7:30 PM in the Woodruff PE Center before a matchup with the WashU Bears (12-4, 3-2 UAA) on Sunday at 12:00 PM. The Eagles are 29-40 against the Maroons all-time, however, the tides have turned in Emory's favor recently with the Eagles winning nine of the last 13 matchups including the last two played in the Woodruff PE Center. Against WashU, Emory has won five of the last six matchups between the two teams including a ten point win on the Bears home floor in their last meeting. The Eagles now sit in sole possession of the UAA lead with a 4-1 record in conference play as Emory leads all UAA teams in points scored per game in conference play with 83.2 points per game. Senior Mason Johnson was one of the leaders for the Eagles in their two wins this past weekend as he scored 16 points in both contests including scoring the only two points of the overtime period against Brandeis on Sunday.

Women's Basketball:

After splitting games over the past weekend, the Emory University women's basketball team returns to the Woodruff PE Center this weekend for matchups against the top two teams in the conference. The Eagles (12-3, 3-2 UAA) are set to face off against the No. 7 ranked Chicago Maroons (15-1, 4-1 UAA) on Friday evening at 5:30 PM before taking on the WashU Bears (11-5, 4-1 UAA) at 2:00 PM on Sunday. Against the Maroons, the Eagles have won three of their last five matchups while Emory is also currently on a three-game home winning streak against Chicago. The Eagles made history last season against the Bears as they swept the season series against them for the first time in program history while also recording their first ever win on the Bears home floor. On top of the Eagles passing acumen, they are also an elite defensive rebounding team as they are 16th in the nation in pulling down opponent's misses at 31.7 per game. Sophomore Daniella Aronsky has been on a mission to prove she is more than just a distributor and that was evident on Sunday afternoon when she scored a career-high 23 points which included a team best seven three pointers in the Eagles win over Brandeis. On top of leading the nation in assists per game after her performance on Sunday Aronsky now holds the national lead in three-point percentage at 48.6% shooting from beyond the arc.
