Jordan Bailey joined the Emory Athletics Department as Assistant Director For Development in May of 2017. He was elevated to Associate Director in March of 2019.

From 2011 through July of 2016, Bailey worked for the Indiana University Foundation as the Race Director of the Little 500, a renowned bike race held in Bloomington, Indiana every April, which was immortalized in the 1979 Academy Award winning film, Breaking Away.  In his 5-year tenure as Race Director, Jordan served as a key project and event leader for 30 IU Foundation events centered around the Little 500, which annually hosts 20,000 spectators.  In addition, he oversaw the Little 500 corporate sponsorship program helping to drive its growth by 80% under his management and stewardship.

Prior to his appointment at Emory, Jordan spent a seven-month stint working as an Account Manager in Atlanta for a sports technology company called MYLAPS, which specializes in automated sports timing hardware and software solutions.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana in 2011, majoring in history with a double minor in communications and marketing.

A native of Ogden Dunes, Indiana, Jordan’s family includes his wife, Emily.
