Joyce Jaleel serves as the Senior Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator. She assumed her current role in 2017.  Jaleel provides leadership and administrative support for Emory’s 19 varsity programs. As part of her responsibilities, she supervises the Head Athletic Trainer, Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Success and Compliance including the Eagle Edge Program, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Administrative Assistant. 

Jaleel has served as tournament manager for many NCAA National Championships including NCAA Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving, and NCAA Golf and continues to help manage UAA and NCAA Championships that Emory hosts. She serves on the Advisory Board for the Emory Sports Hall of Fame, and several campus committees including the Campus Development Committee, and Athletics and Recreation Senate Committee. She was a former staff member and co-director of the Emory Sports Fitness Camp.

A member of the Emory Athletic Department since 1986, she has served as Senior Associate Athletic Director and Assistant Athletic Director prior to her current post. Jaleel is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and the Women Leaders in College Sports.  She has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of West Georgia.
