Greg Lewis became a member of the Department of Athletics & Recreation in April 2021 as the Coordinator for Athletic Facilities & Events. In this role, he will be responsible for the oversight and management of athletic facilities as well as serving as an event coordinator. In September of 2022 he was promoted to his current role as Assistant Director.

Lewis joins the Emory staff after stints with the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and Misericordia University. With the HJGT, Lewis served as the tournament director where he performed various equipment inventory and equipment room duties as well as some fundraising duties. At MU, Lewis was the Assistant to the Athletic Director since 2017. In that position, he served as the Event Manager for all intercollegiate athletic home events, including conference and NCAA championships including the 2018 NCAA Baseball Super Regional. Furthermore, Lewis assisted in scheduling multiple indoor and outdoor facilities/spaces for athletic and outside groups and coordinated special events and ceremonies for the department among his many duties. In addition, Lewis took over as the Director of the Esports Program in January 2019.

Prior to his roles at HJGT and Misericordia, Lewis spent six years at The College at Brockport in Upstate New York where he served as Operations Coordinator and earned his master’s degree in athletic administration. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management to go along with a minor in Finance from the school.

A native of Belmont, NY, Lewis also previously interned at Alfred University, where he performed various equipment room and inventory duties.
