Freshman (2012):

Byman appeared in six games out of the bullpen for the Eagles during the 2012 season, finishing the year with a 1-1 record.  He allowed 10 earned runs (and 12 total) over 9.2 innings pitched for a 9.31 earned run average, striking out four batters and walking four.  Byman earned his first career victory during an 11-7 win over Brandeis University, pitching the final five innings of the game and allowing two runs on five hits with two strikeouts.  The righty also pitched a scoreless inning and a third against Methodist University on April 21st, holding the Monarchs without a hit during the outing.  Lefties were just one-for-eight (.125) against Byman during the season.

Prior to Emory:

Played for the Ravenscroft High School baseball team for four seasons, serving as the team's captain during his senior year... Was his team's Most Valuable Player in 2011, also earning all-conference honors during the year... Led his team to a conference championship during the 2010 season... Struck out 28 batter in 33 innings with a 2.80 ERA during his senior year, while also batting .425 with three walk-off extra base hits... Coached by Ned Gonet.
