Senior (2017):

Appeared in 10 games, making nine starts as Emory’s No.-3 starter during his senior season…Won a career-high five games, going 5-2 with 35 strikeouts and a 4.05 ERA in a career-best 46.2 innings…Pitched a season-long 6.2 innings against New York University on Senior Day on April 22^nd, allowing one unearned on four hits while setting a new career-high with 10 strikeouts.

Junior (2016):

Emmett was a dominant member of the pitching rotation during his junior season, finishing with a 3-1 record with one save, a 1.55 ERA and a 4:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio (44 strikeouts in 16 appearances (2 GS)) spanning 40.2 innings pitched…Did not allow a run in eight of his 14 relief outings with five outings being at least two innings or more…Tossed 3.1 perfect innings with six strikeouts to earn his first win of the season against the University of Chicago on March 26^th…Racked up a career-high eight punch outs in his second start of the year, giving up just one run on five hits against North Carolina Wesleyan on April 10^th…Spun 2.2 scoreless innings with four strikeouts in the team’s win over Shenandoah in the NCAA South Regional tournament on May 21st.

Sophomore (2015):

Emmett made 11 appearances including five starts, going 1-1, during his first season with the Eagles. He pitched to a 3.06 ERA in 32.1 innings, allowing 15 runs (11 earned) on 32 hits. Emmett punched out 16 batters compared to 13 walks and held opponents to a .267 batting average. His best start of the year came in a 4-1 victory over DePauw, where he allowed one run on four hits over 7.2 innings. He struck out four to just one free pass. He appeared in one game during the College World Series, giving up one run in one inning in a loss to Trinity.

Prior to Emory:

Came to Emory prior to the start of his sophomore season after spending a year on the Louisburg College baseball team... Pitched in 14 games out of the bullpen, going 2-2 with one save and a 5.68 ERA... Was a four-year member of the Leesville Road High School team, serving as a co-captain during his senior year... Went 7-1 with a 1.18 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 53.1 innings pitched from 2011-12... Set the program record for lowest career and single-season ERA... Member of the winningest team in school history... Coached by Chad Smothers and Mick Prochaska in high school... Also played basketball.

Personal:

Born August 22nd...Father, David, was an Army Ranger and his uncle, Tom, played baseball at NCSU.
