Bubby Terp and Jack Brodsky Sweep UAA Baseball Weekly Honors

Emory University baseball team members Bubby Terp and Jack Brodsky were honored by the University Athletic Association late Monday afternoon, sweeping the conference's baseball Athlete of the Week awards.

Terp drove in a team-high 11 runs to help the Eagles to a 4-1 week vs. Oglethorpe and CWRU, driving in at least one run in all four wins including a pair of four-RBI contests. He finished the week with a .350 average (7-for-20), two doubles, four runs scored, two walks, a .391 on-base percentage and slugged at a .450 clip.

Brodsky went 2-0 in his two appearances against CWRU, tossing 4.2 shutout frames to go along with seven strikeouts. Brodsky pitched 1.1 perfect innings in his first outing on Friday, striking out two Spartans. He returned to the mound in the finale on Saturday, spinning 3.1 scoreless, scattering three hits and one walk while striking out five, to record his team-leading sixth win of 2019.

The Eagles, winners of 11 of their past 13, take on Oglethorpe on the road Tuesday night before traveling to St. Louis, MO for a key UAA series with 16th-ranked Washington University this weekend.
