Freshman Stefano Butti helped the Emory golf team to a fifth-place tie out of 30 teams at the prestigious 54-hole Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational.
Butti paced the Emory contingent with a three-round score of one-under 215 (71-73-71), with that effort tying Emory's fourth-best individual effort in program history for a 54-hole competition. Butti finished tied for 16th in the 150-player field.
Emory registered a team score of two-over par 866, establishing a school record for a 54-hole event.
