The Emory golf team returns to action this Saturday and Sunday (Apr. 8-9) when it hosts the Discover DeKalb Spring Invitational.  The 36-hole tourney will be held at the 6,510-yard, par-70 Smoke Rise Country Club in nearby Stone Mountain. 

Emory, ranked 4^th nationally in the most recent Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll, will be one of 14 schools that will be competing in this year's event.  A total of 10 competing squads are ranked in the Golfweek Poll, seven of which are in the top 10.
In addition to Emory, other top-10 schools hitting the course are No. 1 and defending champ Huntingdon College, No. 3 Oglethorpe, No. 6 Methodist, No. 7 LaGrange, No. 8 Rhodes and No. 10 Greensboro.

Emory finished fourth out of 13 teams at last year's Invitational.

In Emory's most recent outing, it posted a fifth-place finish out of 15 teams at the Huntingdon College Spring Invitational, Mar. 27, at the Wynlakes Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama.  Junior Keenan Hickton ranked as the Eagles' top performer, registering a 36-hole score of four-over par 148 (75-73), good for a 13th-place tie out of 81 players.
