Emory freshman Davis Hingtgen was the top performer for the Emory golf team at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational, held Oct. 23-24 at the Stonebridge Golf Club. in Rome, Georgia.
Hingtgen closed out the tournament as Emory's top scorer with a six-over par effort of 222 (70-79-73), good for a 14th-place tie in the 68-player field. Hingtgen's two-under par 70 in the first round was the best score recorded by an Emory player in the competition.
Emory finished ninth out of 13 teams at the Invitational.
