Matt Organisak Lands UAA Golf Honor

Emory junior Matt Organisak (Sudbury, MA) has been selected by the University Athletic Association as Golfer of the Week following his performance at the
Tartan Invitational.  It is the second time this year and sixth his career that he has been chosen for the honor.  The 54-hole Tartan Invitational was played on the 7,156-yard, par-72 Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.

Organisak played his way to medalist honors, topping the 90-player field with a three-under score of 213 (73-67-73), tying the program's sixth-best individual effort for a 54-hole tournament. It marked the second time in his Emory career that he was a medalist, with the previous occasions taking place at the 2017 Rhodes College Fall Classic when he co-tied for the No. 1 position.

Matt's play helped lead the Eagles to a first-place tie with Wittenberg in the 12-team field with a score of 873.  The Eagles tied No. 4-ranked Wittenberg for first place in the 12-team field with a score of 873. The Tigers would go on to edge Emory on the first hole of a playoff.

Entering the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational, Organisak ranked No. 1 on the squad with an average of 71.0 strokes over nine rounds of play.
