Sophomore Eric Yiu has been selected as the University Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week following his performance at the Emory Discover DeKalb Spring Invitational. It is the second time this season and in his career that he has been honored by the league. The 54-hole competition was conducted on the 6,535-yard, par-71 Smoke Rise Country Club in nearby Stone Mountain.
Yiu paced the team and tied for sixth in the 82-player field with a 54-hole score of three-over par 216 (70-72-74). His opening round effort represented the 11th time this season in 22 rounds that he shot par or better.
The Eagles finished runner-up at the Invitational with a team score of 878 (294-287-297).
