Emory Golf Plays At Carnoustie

By Sam Galloway

Monday saw the Eagles venture to Carnoustie, the 2018 Open championship venue. Widely known as the toughest yet fairest course in Scotland, arguable the world, the course was a stout test out of the gates. With tight fairways and fast greens, Matt Organisak paced the eagles with an impressive six birdies for the round. Holes 8-10 yielded some of the first trees on the trip, where the course transitioned from links to an almost parkland feel. To this point Carnoustie has been the highlight of the trip, as players were able to tackle a championship level course that the world's top pros challenged little more than a year ago.
