Davis Hingtgen helped the Emory men's golf team to a strong effort at the NCAA D-III Golf Championships, May 11-14 in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Hingtgen ended in a tie for 23rd place out of the 96 players who competed over the entire 72 holes (191 started out), shooting a four-day day of 297. Davis either posted or tied for the team's best score in two of the four rounds including a 72 over the opening 18 holes of the competition. He finished with a total of eight birdies.

Emory registered a sixth-place finish at this year's Championships.

Davis ended the season with an average of 74.4 strokes over 14 rounds of play.
