Junior Max Schwarz helped the No. 2-ranked Emory men's golf team to a third-place finish out of 25 teams at the Jekyll Island Collegiate. The 54-hole tournament was played on the 6,700-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes Course at the Jekyll Island Golf Club.
Schwarz led Emory and tied for second out of 133 competitors with a four-under 212, tying the program's 11th-best score for a three-round tournament. Schwarz logged a total of 13 birdies over the weekend, tying the second-highest total in the field.
Schwarz has shot par or better in all five of Emory's rounds this spring.
