Emory sophomore Alex Gulotta came off the bench
to score a career-high tying 15 points in helping Emory to its
third straight win last Wednesday evening at Piedmont College by a
70-60 margin. Gulotta scored 10 of his game total in the decisive
second half, helping Emory to a 43-30 scoring advantage, hitting
three-of-five three-point field goals during the final 20 minutes
of action. For the game, he sank five-of-10 from the floor
including four-of-seven from beyond the arc. The Eagles
trailed by a 38-37 margin with 15:11 left in the contest before
Gulotta hit three consecutive treys to key a 9-2 run that gave them
a 46-40 advantage.
It was Gulotta's second double-figure scoring effort of the year
and his fourth outing of two or more three-point field goals.
