Junior Christopher Avant put together a pair of double-figure scoring games and ranked as the team's top rebounder at the Oglethorpe Thanksgiving Classic.
The 6-foot-8 Avant averaged 12.0 points and 8.0 rebounds as the Eagles went 1-1 at the Thanksgiving Classic.
In a 95-84 setback to LaGrange, Avant picked up 14 points, hitting four-of-five field goal attempts and six free throws in 10 tries and grabbed six boards. He followed that effort with his second career double-double, a 10-point, game-high 10-rebound outing in a 71-62 triumph over Maryville College.
A starter in Emory's first five games, Avant is third on the team's score sheet in scoring (12.2 ppg) and tops in rebounds (8.6 rpg) and field goal percentage (.636, 21 of 33).
