Junior Christopher Avant ranked second on the team in both scoring and rebounding as the Emory men's basketball team split a pair of UAA contests.

Avant averaged 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in games vs. Washington University and the University of Chicago.  He connected on a team-high 76.5 percent (13 of 17) from the floor and knocked down 90.9 percent (10 of 11) from the foul line.

Avant paced the squad's scoring effort with 18 points, converting five-of-seven field goal attempts and all eight free throws in a 71-63 setback to the No. 20-ranked Bears of WU.  He followed that performance by tallying 19 points, his 10th double-digit outing of the campaign, sinking eight field goals in 10 tries, in helping the Eagles to an 80-72 decision over the University of Chicago.

On the year, he is third on the Emory score sheet in scoring (12.8 ppg) and tops the squad in both rebounding (7.7 rpg) and field goal percentage (.600, 66-of-110).
