Senior Austin DaGue tied as the No. 2 scorer and was the No. 2 rebounder for the Emory men's basketball team in its NCAA D-III Tournament games.
The 6-foot-9 DaGue averaged 14.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks as the Eagles defeated Texas Lutheran before coming out in the short end of a second-round battle to host Hardin-Simmons University. After coming up with seven points, three blocked shots and a pair of steals in the 82-69 verdict over the Bulldogs of TLU, DaGue paced the Emory scoring attack against HSU with 21 points, sinking seven-of-12 field goal attempts, including three triples in six opportunities, and four free throws in posting his fourth double-figure scoring effort of the season and his second-highest career total.
DaGue ended the season playing in 25 games and ranking fifth on the team in scoring (6.8 ppg) and tied for fourth in rebounding (4.4 rpg).
Career-wise, he tied for the No. 3 spot on the program's all-time list with 130 blocked shots. He saw action in a total of 109 contests, tying the school's second-highest mark.
