Junior Adam Gigax led the Emory men's basketball in scoring in a pair of wins over South Region opponents.
The 6-foot-7 Gigax averaged 21.0 points, shot 45.2 percent from the floor, including 46.2 percent (6 of 13) from beyond the arc, in contests vs. Berry College and Hampden-Sydney College.
Gigax's big outing came against Berry (a 91-80 victory) when he scored a career-best 36 points, converting 11-of-23 field goal attempts, including a career-best tying six three pointers in 12 tries, and eight-of-nine free throws, His outburst against the Vikings tied the program's fifth-highest individual game total and his six triples upped his three-point field goal streak to 28 games, the sixth longest in school history.
Through games played Dec. 31, leads the squad in scoring with an 18.5 points-per-game average.
