Freshman Matt Davet put together back-to-back games of double-figure scoring in helping the No. 7-ranked Emory men's basketball team to a pair of home wins.

The 6-foot-7 Davet came off the bench to average 16.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in victories over New York University and Brandeis, which raised the team's overall record to 20-4, 11-2 in the UAA. He shot 60 percent (12-20) from the floor including 58.3 percent (7-12) from three-point range. In a 96-85 verdict over NYU, Davet logged 10 points, hitting four-of-six field goals, including a pair of triples. He also blocked a pair of Violet shot attempts. He followed that performance by leading all players with a season-high 22 points in 18 minutes, converting eight field goals in 14 opportunities and a season-best five triples in eight attempts, as Emory prevailed over Brandeis, 82-69. His outing against the Judges represented his 10th double-figure scoring performance of the season.

Davet has seen action as a reserve in all 24 Emory contests and is averaging 8.5 points and 3.2 rebounds. He is shooting 36.7 percent (33-90) from beyond the arc and has two or more treys to his credit in nine contests.
