Whit Rapp Named UAA Men's Basketball Player Of The Week

Emory University senior Whit Rapp (Noblesville, IN) has been selected as the University Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week following his performance in the Eagles' NCAA D-III Tournament Round of 16 game against UW-Oshkosh.  It is the first time in his career that he has been selected for the honor.

The 6-foot Rapp led the team's scoring attack with a season-high 15 points, sinking six-of-nine field goal attempts, including three treys in four opportunities, in registering his eighth double-figure outing of the campaign in 22 appearances. In addition, he dished out 11 assists against the Titans, his fifth performance of double-digits this year and 20th of his career.

Rapp closed out the year tops in the UAA with an average of 7.6 assists per game, with that mark good for second place on the school's seasonal chart. Career-wise, he finished with a school-record 629 assists and his per-game average of 6.0 represented a program record.

Emory finished the year with an overall record of 23-5 with the victory total the second-highest in school history.  The Eagles closed out the league portion of the schedule with a 12-2 slate, good for second place, and advanced to the Round of 16 in the postseason for the fourth time in five seasons.
