Sophomore Matt Davet was the leading scorer for the Emory men's basketball team in its UAA opener at the University of Rochester.
The 6-foot-7 Davet led all players with 23 points, hitting nine-of-15 from the floor along with all four of his free throw opportunities. It represented his 10th double-figure scoring effort of the year and fifth of 20 or more points. In addition, he tied for the No. 2 spot on the club with five rebounds and registered two steals.
Through 12 games, Matt is second on the squad in both scoring (16.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.5 rpg).
