Sophomore Lawrence Rowley helped the No. 23-ranked Emory men's basketball team to a win over the University of Rochester that allowed the Eagles to capture the outright University Athletic Association title.

The 6-foot-5 Rowley paced the team's scoring attack with 19 points, hitting seven-of-10 field goal attempts along with all five of his free throw opportunities, as the Eagles registered a 92-82 decision over the Yellowjackets. It represented his 22nd double-figure scoring outing of the campaign and the fourth time that he stood as the team's leading scorer.

The win over Rochester boosted Emory's overall ledger to 20-5. The Eagles won their fourth conference crown over the last seven years with a won-lost mark of 11-3.

Rowley closed out the regular season fourth in the UAA in rebounding (8.0 rpg), sixth in field goal percentage (.572) and ninth in scoring average (14.5 ppg).
