Sophomore guard Romin Williams ranked as the leading scorer for the Emory men's basketball team at its Thanksgiving Classic.

Williams averaged 20.0 points, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals as the Eagles split games against Maryville College and Randolph-Macon, ending the weekend shooting 43.3 percent (13-of-30) from the field, 36.8 percent (7-of-19) from three-point range and 77.8 percent (7-of-9) from the charity stripe.

In the team's 96-93 overtime victory against Maryville, Williams led the Emory scoring attack with 26 points, converting eight-of-19 field goal attempts, including six three pointers in 13 tries. His final trey of the contest came as time expired in the extra session, giving the Eagles the victory. He followed the performance with a 14-point, four-assist outing against Randolph-Macon.

Through five games, Williams is second on the squad in scoring average (18.2 ppg).
