Junior Matt Schner came through with a pair of solid outings as the Emory men's basketball team split a pair of road contests.

The 6-foot-4 Schner was second on the team in scoring with an average of 18.0 points and tied for the spot in rebounding (7.0 rpg) in games against NYU and Brandeis. He shot 56.0 percent (14-of-25) from the field including 50 percent (5-of-10) from three-point range.

In an 83-69 verdict over NYU, Schner logged 17 points, connecting on six field goals in nine opportunities which included four treys. In addition, he doled out four assists and paced the squad with a season-high tying four steals. He followed that performance with a team-high tying 19 points against Brandeis, hitting eight-of-16 field goals. He also tied for team honors with nine rebounds.
