Junior Matthew Schner helped the No. 8-ranked Emory men's basketball team to a pair of key road wins.

The 6-foot-4 Schner put together back-to-back double-doubles, ending the two-game set tying for the team scoring lead with an average of 14.0 points while topping the club with a mark of 13.0 rebounds as the Eagles topped Chicago and No. 11-ranked Washington University. In addition, he shot 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from the floor, including 57.1 percent (4-of-7) from three-point range, and sank both of his free throw opportunities. He doled out eight assists (second high on the team's scoresheet) and totaled three steals.

In an 83-67 triumph over Chicago, Schner rang up 13 points and led all players with 12 rebounds. He tied for game honors with four assists and accounted for two of the team's six steals. He followed that effort with a 15-point, career-high 14 rebound afternoon in an 80-67 verdict over Washington University. He wound up that contest six-of-eight from the floor, including three-of-four from beyond the arc, en route to posting his 17th double-figure scoring outing of the year, Schner has registered three straight and four double-doubles on the campaign.

A starter in all 18 Emory games, Matt stands second on the club and third among UAA players in scoring average (16.2 ppg) while ranking second on the team and seventh on the league ladder in rebounding (7.5 rpg).
