Head Coach Jason Zimmerman and his squad, ranked 6th nationally by D3hoops.com, stand 1-0 following a 89-67 season-opening win at Guilford College this past Saturday.  The junior duo of Romin Williams and Matt Davet shared team scoring honors with 18 points apiece with Williams connecting on six-of-11 from the floor, including four-of-five from beyond the arc, while Davet was successful on four field goals in seven opportunities, three-of-six from distance, and seven-of-eight from the charity stripe. Junior Lawrence Rowley (17 pts.) and classmate Matt Schner (12 pts.) rounded out the team's double-figure scorers with Schner topping the squad with eight rebounds.  The Eagles shot 53.6 percent (30-of-56) from the floor and drained 44.4 percent (12of-27) from three-point range in registering the program's 10th season-opening triumph in the last 11 decisions.

Led by second-year head coach Mitch Cole, Berry came away with a victory in its season opener, winning at Huntingdon College by a 78-66 count.  Senior Ethan Haslam led the Vikings' scoring efforts with 16 points while senior Caleb Haynes and freshman DJ Estes each chipped in 14 points.

The Eagles hold a 6-0 all-time record against Berry with the most recent victory coming last season, 92-83, at the Woodruff PE Center on the Emory campus.  Emory has won both match-ups that have been played on the Berry campus.

Following the Berry games, Emory's next action takes place next Wednesday (Nov. 20) when it makes its home debut against the University of the South in a 7:00 pm start.
