The Emory University men's soccer team will try for its first
conference win of the season on Saturday, as the Eagles will travel
north to the University of Chicago to face the Maroons at 12:00 PM
EST.
Emory is 8-2-0 this season following a 3-1 win at Oglethorpe
University on Wednesday. The Eagles, ranked seventh in the
South Atlantic region, are a perfect 7-0-0 on the road this season,
and 0-1-0 in conference play.
Chicago will enter the game with a 6-2-2 record this season,
including a mark of 0-1-0 in UAA matches. The Maroons are
coming off a 3-0 loss on the road to Carnegie Mellon in their
conference opener last Saturday. Chicago is 2-0-1 at home
this season.
The Eagles are 15-5-2 all time against the Maroons, including wins
in each of the last two meetings. Last season, the Eagles
came away with a 5-1 win over Chicago at the WoodPEC. Juniors
Michael Scannapieco and Graham
Dekeyser each have career goals against Chicago, while
Christopher Howie, Phillip
Andreae and Zach Samuels each have
recorded an assist.
