The Emory University men's soccer team dropped its first road
game of the season on Saturday, losing at the University of Chicago
1-0.
With the loss, the Eagles have fallen to 8-3-0 on the campaign,
including an 0-2-0 mark in University Athletic Association (UAA)
matches. Chicago improved to 7-2-2 (1-1-0 UAA) with the
win.
After a scoreless first half, Chicago's Drew Marshall struck with
the lone goal of the contest in the 53rd minute of
play.
The Eagles took seven shots during the contest, including four by
freshman Alex Scott. Sophomore goalkeeper
Trenton Spindler took the loss in goal, making
four saves during the contest.
The loss is the first in seven contests away from the Woodruff P.E.
Center this season for the Eagles.
Emory will return to action at home on Friday, October
16th against New York University.
