Emory Men's Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision at #24 Washington & Lee

An early first half tally proved to be difference on Saturday as the Emory University Men's Soccer team fell by a 1-0 score at 24th-ranked Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA.

The General's Andrew Kim scored the game's lone marker in the 11th minute, putting one in the lower corner of the net following the feed from Dylan Ritch into the center of the box.

The Eagles managed just three shots on goal in the contest including one by senior Jason McCartney in the 84th minute. Fellow seniors Cody Gardiner and Michael Carragher provided the other shots on target for Emory.

Sophomore Trevor Stormes made two saves as he fell to 1-1 between the posts on the season. The Emory defense also held W&L to three shots on goal as the game was a battle of the defenses. The Generals held an 11-7 advantage for the game in total shots.

The Eagles look to rebound Sunday afternoon with a neutral matchup against Randolph College, beginning at 12pm EST in Lexington, VA.
