Emory University sophomore Keegan McCombie of the Men's Soccer program was named the University Athletic Association Co-Offensive Player of the Week as announced late Monday afternoon. It is the first career weekly honor for the Frisco, TX native.
McCombie had a stellar week for the Eagles, scoring the first three goals of his career, helping Emory to a 2-0 record over SAA foes Sewanee University and Birmingham-Southern College. His two tallies on Wednesday night proved to be the difference in the team's 3-2 win over the Tigers while his goal on Saturday provided the 3-0 final margin against the Panthers. McCombie finished the week with team-highs in goals (3), points (6), shots (8) and shots on goal (4).
The Eagles travel to Maryville, TN Wednesday night to face the unbeaten Scots of Maryville College before returning home for a meeting against 19th-ranked Carthage College on Saturday afternoon.
