For the third spring in a row, the Emory University Men's Soccer program ran a mini-soccer camp for Atlanta's inner city youths along with FirstWorks Soccer Inc.
FirstWorks Soccer is utilizing soccer, exposure, and character building to help inner city youths obtain 100% high school graduation, 100% employment as soccer referees, and to establish a strong soccer program where the focus is on the fundamentals of the game.
The spring clinic is during their spring break, and is a way for the kids to get on a college campus and interact with a soccer team. Based on the feedback from the director, it was a highlight for many of them, and helps foster their dreams to focus on education.
