Emory University senior Tyler Santee was named the University Athletic Association Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, marking the first time in his career he has earned the weekly honor.

Santee was tabbed the Defensive MVP of the Ciallella Classic after notching the game-winning goal in Emory's tournament clinching win over Rutgers-Camden, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon. Santee also helped anchor an Eagles' backline that limited Rowan and RUC to one goal on nine shots on target over the weekend as Emory improved to 4-0 on the season.

The Eagles return to the pitch this Saturday and Sunday with non-conference matchups at the Woodruff PE Center against SUNY-Maritime and Millsaps.
