Men's Soccer Pushes Win Streak to Five with 4-0 Triumph over Millsaps

The Emory University Men's Soccer team ran its winning streak to five games Saturday night, stifling Millsaps College, 4-0, at the Woodruff PE Center in Atlanta.

Four different Eagles registered a goal on the evening, highlighted by senior Moustafa Khattab's three-point effort. Khattab notched the first goal of the match in the 41st minute, converted on the feed by junior Victor Garcia. Khattab added an assist on Emory's second goal 10 minutes later as sophomore Josh Berman headed in Khattab's corner kick.

Junior Jun Tsuru made it 3-0 in the 64th minute as he finished from close range off the endline pass by classmate Keegan McCombie. Freshman Daniel SanGiovanni rounded out the Eagles scoring in the 86th minute, heading in a Matt Engler corner kick for his first career goal.

For the game, Emory finished with a 25-5 edge in shots and held the Majors to just two shots on goal as sophomore Cole Gallagher and junior Trevor Stormes combined for the shutout.

The Eagles, now 5-0 on the season and off to their best start since 2010, look to keep their winning streak going as they host SUNY-Maritime from the WoodPEC Sunday evening beginning at 5:00 PM.
