Felipe Quintero
Title: Goalkeeper Coach

Felipe Quintero joined the Emory University Men’s Soccer coaching staff for the 2017 season as the program’s goalkeepers coach.

Quintero has assisted Cory Greiner in all six years of his tenure as head coach at Emory. He oversaw the development of goalkeeper Peter Wagner, who blossomed into one of the nation's most reliable goalkeepers in 2023. Wagner was named All-UAA First Team, United Soccer Coaches All-Region VI Second Team, and was a 3-time UAA Athlete of the Week. Quintero was a part of the 2023 coaching staff which oversaw a UAA Championship and earning an NCAA Tournament berth.

Quintero came to the Eagles after a brief stint crosstown with Oglethorpe University, serving as a member of the Stormy Petrels men’s and women’s coaching staffs for five seasons.

Prior to his time with Oglethorpe, Quintero enjoyed a long and successful career as a professional player. In Mexico, he played for Lobos BUAP in 2005, and helped Irapuatowin to the Mexican Second Division title, promoting them to the First Division. He began his professional career with Chivas de Guadalajara, training with the first team and starting with the Second Division team. He also played for Angeles de Puebla, Ciudad Juarez and Queretaro, and he played three years manning the net with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL.
