For the third consecutive night, the Emory University Men's Swimming & Diving team captured a national championship in at least one event, winning the 100 Breaststroke behind a historic performance from senior Andrew Wilson.

Through three days of competition, the Eagles (325 points) have built a sizeable lead over the rest of the field and enter the final day of action with a 46.5 point lead over second place Kenyon College (278.5). Johns Hopkins is in third with 250 points followed by Denison with 243 points.

Emory, in search of its first-ever team national championship in men's swimming and diving, will look to close it out on the fourth and final day of action on Saturday with preliminaries beginning at 11:00 AM EST and finals starting at 7:00 PM EST. Events on the final day include the 100 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, 200 Breaststroke, 1,650 Freestyle and the 400 Freestyle Relay.

Wilson turned in another outstanding performance on Friday night as he was crowned the 100 Breaststroke national champion for the second time in his career. Wilson unleashed a 50.94 in the championship final to set the Division III record. With his time, Wilson becomes just the fifth performer in the world to ever swim under the 51 seconds mark in a 100 SCY Breaststroke event and the fourth American ever to accomplish the feat joining Kevin Cordes, Cody Miller and Chuck Katis.

Earlier in the night, senior Christian Baker and Sage Ono tallied All-American honors in the 200 Fly and 100 Back events. Baker finished fourth overall in the 200 Fly at 1:47.65 while Ono placed third overall in the 100 Back with a time of 47.93.

The 800 Freestyle Relay team consisting of Baker, sophomores Alex Kohlman, Thomas Gordon and senior Hayes Burdette-Sapp rounded out the evening taking fourth place overall. The group touched with a time of 6:36.49.
