Prior to Emory:

Was a four-year member of the Harvard-Westlake swim team... Was a member of the school-record breaking medley relay team... Recorded career-best times of 57.35 in the 100 breast and 2:00.69 in the 200 IM... Helped his team qualify for the CIF and Mission League Championships... Coached in high school by Jonathan Caroll... Was also a member of the Los Angeles Swim Club, where he was coached by Jason Schwarz.

Personal:

Born March 23rd... Twin brother of teammate Henry Copses... Named to his high school's honor roll all four years.
