For the sixth time this season, sophomore Lucas Bumgarner has been selected as the University Athletic Association Men's Diver of the Week as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Bumgarner qualified for a spot at the NCAA Championships after sweeping both diving events at the NCAA Region 2 Diving Championships this past weekend in San Antonio, TX. Bumgarner posted a score of 591.55 to win the 3-meter event on Friday before topping the 500 mark again on Saturday in the 1-meter, leading the field of six divers with a score of 529.65.
He will join his swimming teammates in Greensboro, NC when the NCAA Championships take place between March 18th – 21st.
