NCAA D-III Men's Singles & Doubles Championships Open On Thursday

A day after winning the team portion of the NCAA D-III Men's Tennis Championships, four members of Emory program will begin play on Thursday in the Singles and Doubles Championships.  The Championships will be held at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Aman Manji and Jonathan Jemison will compete in the singles competition, which is comprised of 32 players. Manji (28-6), the No. 2 seed, will meet Luke Tercek of Bowdoin College with that match slated for 11:00 am.  The unseeded Jemison (26-5) will square off against Kai Yuen Leung of Skidmore College in his opening contest.  The winners of those bouts will move into Thursday's Round of 16.

In doubles, junior Scott Rubinstein and sophomore James Spaulding stand as the No. 3 seed in the 16-team field. The Eagles tandem will battle Skidmore College's John Wynne and Leung on Thursday in a scheduled 4:30 pm start.
