Junior Adrien Bouchet helped the No. 2-ranked Emory men's tennis team to a pair of wins in the openings rounds of the NCAA D-III Championships.

Bouchet registered a 2-0 mark in doubles and went 1-0 in singles in home matches against Washington and Lee and North Carolina Wesleyan.

Bouchet and doubles partner Jonathan Jemison notched the first point in a second-round 5-1 victory over W&L, defeating the Generals' tandem of Noah Tapp and Tyebo Loan, 8-2. Later, Bouchet posted the deciding point of the match at No. 4 singles, rolling to a 6-0, 6-1 outcome over Loan, raising his record to 14-5 on the year. In Emory's third-round 5-0 whitewash of North Carolina Wesleyan, Bouchet and Jemison gave the Eagles a 3-0 edge after emerging with an 8-3 triumph at second doubles vs. Aditya Iyer and JD Telles.

Emory has advanced to the national quarterfinals where it will meet Williams on May 21.
