Jonathan Jemison Topped In Singles At ITA Oracle Cup

Emory junior Jonathan Jemison saw his run for an ITA Oracle Cup singles title come to an end Friday morning as he was defeated in the semifinals.  The ITA Oracle Cup is being held at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia.

Jemison, the No. 4 seed, squared off against top-seeded Mohanad Al Houni from Gustavus Adolphus, with Al Houni posting a 6-1, 0-6, 6-4, triumph.  Jemison will meet Brian Grodecki in the third-place match on Saturday.

Playing in the consolation side of the bracket in doubles, junior Adrien Bouchet and freshman Will Wanner bested Jake Berber and Nikolai Parodi from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 6-4, 6-7, 10-8.  The Emory tandem now move into Saturday's fifth-place match.
