The Emory doubles team of Jonathan Jemison and Adrien Bouchet captured the Division III Championship at the ITA Oracle Cup on Saturday. This year's ITA Cup is being held at the Rome (GA) Tennis Center.
The unseeded Emory duo closed out a three-match run with a 6-3, 6-3, victory over the Bowdoin College tandem of Yangeng Jiang and Justin Wang, which raised their record to 8-0. Following their win, Jemison and Bouchet moved into the overall ITA Cup competition where the team of Zach Whaanga and Alvaro Regalso of Division II Columbus State efeated them, 6-4, 7-6.
In singles play, Jemsion bettered Alan Dubrovsky of Hobart, 6-3, 6-2, to claim third place.
