Adrien Bouchet Earns UAA Tennis Honor

Emory senior Adrien Bouchet (Oakton, VA) has been recognized by the University Athletic Association as Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week after helping the No. 4-ranked Eagles to a pair of West Coast match victories.  It is the third time this year and fifth in his career that he has been tabbed for the award.

Bouchet went 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles as the Eagles registered victories over UC-Santa Cruz and No. 5-ranked Williams. Bouchet came away with a 6-3, 6-1 triumph vs. Kris Harris of UC- Santa Cruz which aided in a 7-2 win. The following day, he teamed with Jonathan Jemison at No. 1 doubles to post an 8-6 verdict over the Williams' duo of Alex Taylor and Peter Frelinghuysen. Later in that match, Bouchet pocketed a 6-3, 7-5 outcome over Ananth Raghavan at third singles in the team's 6-3 victory.

On the year, Bouchet stands 12-2 in singles play (8-1 at #3) and has crafted a 15-4 slate with Jemison in doubles (7-3 at #1).

Adrien and his teammates are back in action this week when the host Kalamazoo College on Thursday (Mar. 28) and DePauw on Friday.
