Emory Men's Tennis Blanks DePauw

Playing the second of a three-match home swing, the Emory men's tennis team rolled to a Friday afternoon victory over DePauw.  The No. 3-ranked Eagles won for the sixth straight time and upped their dual record to 10-2 following a 9-0 triumph over the Tigers who slipped to 6-8.

In doubles, seniors Jonathan Jemison and Adrien Bouchet defeated  Greg Frauenheim and Bryce McClanahan, 8-3, raising their season record to 17-4 (9-3 at the No. 1 spot).
At No. 2, senior James Spaulding and Will Wanner played their way to an 8-5 outcome over Wyatt Metzger and Billy Louiselle, upping their record to 11-1.  Freshman Antonio Mora and Alec Rabinowith accounted for the other doubles win with an 8-1 verdict against Alex Bertolini and Will Sultan.

The Eagles won all six singles matches in straight sets. Jemison earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Frauenheim at No. 1, his 17th win in 19 decisions this year, while Bouchet, playing at the No. 2 position, went to 14-2 on the campaign with a 6-3, 6-1 triumph over Metzger.
Other Emory singles winners included Mora at No. 3 (6-4, 6-2 over McClanahan), freshman Andrew Esses at No. 4 (6-4, 6-2 vs. Bertolini), senior George Congdon at No. 5 (6-0, 6-2 vs. Louiselle) and Wanner at No. 6 (6-0, 6-0 vs. Sultan).

Next up for Emory is a Sunday (Mar. 31) home match against No. 25 Johns Hopkins starting at 11:00 am.
