Emory University senior James Bassen recorded a season-best mark in the hammer throw at the Mountain Lauren Invitational in Sewanee, Tennessee on Friday night. Bassen finished third in the event with a toss of 39.29 meters, the best throw this season by an Eagle, and a 2.59-meter improvement on his previous career best. He contributed six points towards the Eagles’ team total, helping the squad finish second out of seven teams at the meet.
