Men's Track & Field Place Seventh at Home Invitational

The Emory University Men's Track and Field team, led by the Distance Medley Relay, finished seventh out of 21 competing schools at the Emory Invitational with 60 points as a team.

On Friday evening, the DMR of seniors Max Brown, Robert Wilhelm III and freshman Thomas Perretta and Jacob Hedgepeth won the event with a time of 10:28.15 for the Eagles' solo event win of the two-day meet.

Perretta added a third place finish in the 4x800 Relay on the night as he, senior Jason McCartney and freshmen Jonathan Rosenfeld, Thomas Moxham posted a time of 8:10.34.

Sophomore Alex Campbell placed fourth in the steeplechase at 9:57.75 and in the javelin, Christian Virgil took fifth at 48.71m while senior Charlie Hu was seventh at 48.23m.

On Saturday, sophomore Luis Torres paced the Eagles as he finished third in the 5000m Run with a time of 15:12.15 while classmate Samuel Branson was fifth at 15:25.22. Senior Gregory Litle crossed the finish line in seventh in the 1500m Run in a time of 4:05.65 as did freshman Liam Fost in the 400m Dash with a time of 50.52. Fost added an eighth place effort in the 4x400m Relay to close out the meet for the Eagles as he, Wilhelm and sophomores Aria Mohseni and Alex Rand clocked a time of 3:25.42.

The Eagles will be back in action next weekend with the Emory Classic on March 30th and 31st at the Woodruff PE Center.
