The Emory University Track and Field programs will host the sixth-annual Emory Crossplex Invitational at the Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday, January 21st.
Track events are set to begin at 9:00 am CST with section two of the women's 5000m Run. The field events will kick off at 10:00 am CST with the women's weight throw with the men to follow. Action will continue all through the day and will conclude with the men's 5000m Run at 9:45 pm CST.
29 schools are set to send at least one student-athlete to compete alongside the Eagles on Sunday: Alabama-Huntsville, Alabama State, Alcorn State, Berry, Birmingham-Southern, Brenau, Bryan, Claflin, Clayton State, Christian Brothers, Cumberland, Flagler, Georgia Southern, Harding, Jackson State, Lee, Life, Mississippi Valley, Mobile, Montevallo, North Alabama, Oglethorpe, Piedmont, Reinhardt, Rhodes, Southern, Troy and West Georgia.
At last year's meet, the Eagles placed third among 23 schools that scored points with 76.50 while the men's team came in seventh out of 22 teams with 45 points.
